| For 11 years, I worked at a "Day Job" as a
furniture finisher for C.DeTorres & Co., under the instruction
of Master Finisher- Carlos DeTorres, at the Atlanta
Decorative Arts Center (ADAC) near Lindbergh, in the great city of
Atlanta, Georgia!
I am indebted to Carlos for
his friendship and guidance through all the years I was employed by
him. Since I focus mainly on smaller projects, I
refer any larger projects to Carlos and his team. Their
contact information is on my GGT site.
This was a great training ground for developing
my craft- specializing in "Old World Finishes".
I do not paint modern, high-gloss or lacquer finishes.

Costs and the Process
Each project is custom quoted due
to the huge variance in particulars that are involved in the finishing
process. A 50% deposit is required to begin your
project, with the balance being due at the time the furniture is
picked up (or delivered).
A special note: I
do not perform furniture "repair".
I start from the raw wood (stripped piece) and work up.
There are shops that specialize in furniture repair. Some of
them are listed on my GGT site.
